Oh me oh my!

Fode and I both came down with a nasty virus. At first I thought I had a breast infection but realized that Fode had the same symptoms. We both have tempatures in 100 are achy weak and coughing. Malan has stayed healthy. Ish Allah.  As a mother I find it amazing that even though I am miserable I find the energy to care for Malan. We are also lucky to have help. Mom has been helping and we also asked Staci, the ever dedicated Doula, to return from the beach to help out. 

A Great visit with Great Grandmother

Today Great Grandmother Tokola came to meet Malan at the Yellow House. Thanks to Cassandra and Ben who helped her get here.

Tummy Time

Today Malan worked on building his neck muscles with some tummy time. Look how he held up his head. 

Goodbye Umbilical Cord

Today as I was changing Malan's diaper I noticed his umbilical cord was loose. Only a little corner was still attached so I tugged slightly and it fell off. Another big milestone in Malan's life. 

Driving Miss Sannoh

Here is a picture from the back seat of my car.  Part of the restriction from having preeclampsia is that I am not allowed to drive, so Fode is stuck with the task.  Here we are at a drive-thru to get me some food.  My milk has come in and I am starving all the time.  Keep in mind it is Ramadan so poor Fode can't eat, but has to drive me around so I can eat.  What a great guy!
