What a cutie!

Avison/Sannoh Playdate

Today Jana, Finn and Remy met Malan and me at the Yellow House for a play date.  Jana brought Pietros Pizza (yum!).  It was fun to see the two babies together.  It was like looking in to the future for me to see how Remy moves, giving me an idea of what is to come for Malan.  Staci and Zoe were there for a little while before Zoe's dance class.  It was neat to sit with my sister-in-laws with all of us having children.  We talked mommy shop and it was comforting to know my struggles are normal.  Here are some pictures.

The Nursery is coming together...

 

I am slowly completing Malan's nursery, which is really part of our bedroom.  You may notice that the changing table and the crib do not match.  I wanted them to but have decided that it was not meant to be.  I bought a changing table at Babies R Us and when we went to put it together (ok when James and Staci went to put it together) it was the wrong color wood so I returned it.  They could not get the correct color one for two weeks so I decided to buy one on Target.com.  Well it ended up arriving after Malan was born and sat for many weeks while I was in and out of the hospital.  When we opened it last week to put it together we realized that again this new one is the wrong color, but being that we had it so long it seemed too late to return it.  As my mom says, "When all else fails...lower your standards."

2 Months!!

Malan is two months old today!  He is tracking with his eyes, looking when he hears his name, smiling and starting to 'talk' with oohs and ahhs.  More and more he is awake and alert especially in the morning.  He keeps me jumping at night though, but is a cozy snuggler.

Dinner with Friends

Last Saturday we had some good friends over for dinner. Fode cooked two kinds of sauce: red and peanut. They both were a hit and Malan charmed them the whole night.
